Jill Hellman is a global innovation strategist and international speaker. She specializes in helping individuals or groups of any kind rethink, reimagine, and grow.
Professor Hellman has stood on top of the world in Greenland and Iceland addressing tourism ministers and educators from the Nordic nations, taken the stage in Finland before President Obama took the stage at a connected event, addressed world leaders from the Mediterranean on the idyllic island nation of Malta, was one of the U.S. citizens invited to speak to the business community in the country of Bulgaria, fundraised for private equity globally, advised on a new, digital retail strategy in the Middle East for a company that owns and operates 150 retail locations, executed strategic initiatives at a $19 Billion retailer in the U.S., grew hospitality investments while in Asia, and served as an external advisor working with the global head of innovation at McKinsey & Co. She has been a keynote speaker, advisor, facilitator, and trainer in more than 25 countries worldwide encompassing Western & Eastern Europe, the Nordic Region, the Middle East, Asia and North & South America. She has also appeared in books, blogs, online media, and television news. She holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management.
Brigitte Stangl – Driving Online Customer Engagement
The main goal of this presentation will be to introduce the service dominant logic paradigm and how it creates opportunities to create value throughout the customer journey. Examples will be drawn from the travel sector. To provide a sustainable and successful service it is not only key to offer a unique value, but it is also crucial to promote it by providing engaging content. As videos create more conversion than other modes of communication, example videos from different industries will be used to reveal ways/strategies in terms of how to create engaging content.
About Brigitte
Brigitte Stangl holds a doctorate (August 2010) and two masters degrees (2006, 2007) from the Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU Vienna). During her studies, she specialised in Tourism & Leisure Studies and Small Business & Entrepreneurship.
Between 2006 and 2010, she undertook duties as a Research and Teaching Assistant at the Institute for Tourism and Leisure Studies, WU Vienna. From November 2010 to March 2012, she worked as a Project Manager at the Institute for Tourism & Leisure Research, HTW Chur, Switzerland.
In May 2012, she joined the School of Hospitality & Tourism Management.
She is currently Senior Lecturer in Tourism, Director of Communications, Acting Director of the Centre for Digital Transformation in the Visitor Economy at the University of Surrey.
Her main research interests are related to e-tourism and lie in the areas of decision support systems, web design, innovative pricing and online distribution. Her research is interdisciplinary, mainly relating to the fields of tourism, marketing, information systems, and psychology. She uses mixed method approaches. In terms of quantitative research, she is dealing with non-trivial data analysis methods such as CBSEM, PLS-SEM, Paired Comparison, or Typology Representing Network Analysis.
