Fundraiser supported by Guard.me and Alec Boreham

ALTO Earthquake Fundraiser top donors and supporters
While preparing for our anniversary conference, we received the shocking news about the devastating earthquake that destroyed lives, buildings and infrastructure in Turkey and Syria on 6th February. The ALTO Board decided to carry on with the original plans in Istanbul as it shows solidarity with the people of Turkey and cancelling the event would have showed fear and stop much needed funds going into the country.

ALTO set up a fundraiser link which was further enhanced by a talented artist and friend Alec Boreham who offered seven beautiful work of art to the highest donors of the fundraiser. We organised a small art exhibition during the conference which encouraged participants to support the cause.

Guard.me who also celebrate the company’s 25th anniversary this year decided to not only support the conference as Gold Sponsor, but to match the amount collected in the ALTO Fundraiser to help the rebuilding of the earthquake affected areas in Turkey and Syria. Their generous offer is much appreciated!

Thank you again to all donors for raising £9440 which ALTO will transfer to the DEC Turkey-Syria Earthquake Appeal.

ALTO Vision 2030 – Diversity and Sustainability

The ALTO Board recently held a full day meeting in London where one of the topics we discussed was a new exciting project: to create ALTO’s 2030 Vision to put Diversity and Sustainability in the spotlight.

Board members agreed that the association needs to call its most engaged members to draw up a list of actions and steps we need to take as an industry to promote Diversity and Sustainability.

Watch out for our news about the developments and contact Reka if you’re an ALTO member and feel you could contribute to this project. Your support is much appreciated.

Thank you for your attention, please contact me with any questions you may have.

All the best, Reka
